Substance Use Disorder and HIV - Health Service

G III Associates will organize panelists and speakers for events centered on substance use disorders (SUD) and HIV prevention and care. This may involve facilitating a video to support panel discussions.  Prevention, Education, and Coordination: We will inform the District's faith community, residents, and stakeholders about SUD and HIV, including their risks and strategies for overdose prevention services, through coordinated community efforts.

- Acknowledge that both illicit and legal drug use, as well as high-risk sexual behavior, exist within our community; our goal is to minimize their harmful effects.

- Understand that factors such as poverty, class, racism, social isolation, past trauma, gender bias, and sexual orientation bias impact individuals' ability to cope with harmful situations and behaviors.

- Educate the community about the realities of behaviors that cause harm, recognizing that the nature of these harms is constantly evolving. Only through genuine understanding can we develop effective solutions. Our Philosophy:

- Work to develop policies that focus on improving quality of life within the community and increasing residents' well-being.

- Highlight that individuals dealing with substance use disorders and those engaging in high-risk sexual activities are the primary groups we need to support to reduce harm to themselves and the community.

- Work to establish policies that focus on improving the quality of life within the community and enhancing the well-being of its residents.

- Emphasize that individuals struggling with substance use disorders and those engaging in high-risk sexual activities are the primary groups we need to support in order to reduce harm to both themselves and the community.
